Mountain Country is family friendly with programming that is safe for the whole family, from the kids to the grandparents. Families listen together and every day participate in contests together as a family.
Mountain Country’s country music programming is unique and tailored to the true country music fan. We feature “The Songs that Sound Like Country” from the great legendary songs our audience grew up with, to today’s Red Dirt country, which is growing in popularity at a rapid pace.
We also focus on our community, with local guests, we cover local news, events and happenings, and we support over 100 local non-profits each year.
From the beginning, Mountain Country radio was founded on 3 main pillars. These are laid out in our stations call letters KQSC.

Our Programming is created locally specifically for the local audience. We feature a huge playlist of country music, from the legends to Red Dirt, and today’s best new songs. The songs that “Sound Like Country” are heard daily on Mountain Country.

Awards and Recognition
In addition to winning Best of the Springs 2018, 2019, Mountain Country was named Station of the Year Out of Region from the Texas Regional Radio and Music Awards and our Program Director Carly Evans has won Air Personality of the Year two years in a row.
As well as being heard on the Morning Routine week days from 6AM till 10 AM, Dave West is one of the owners or Mountain Country and the station General Manager.

Carly Evans is an ACM nominated, three-time Texas Regional Radio Music Personality of the Year, seventeen-year radio personality and programmer.
