Mountain Country is just like a good country song. The three chords we're playing here at the station breakdown very simply from KQSC:
Quality - The heart of the station is high-quality, authentic country music. We pride ourselves on playing the greatest variety of true Western talent from multiple eras.
Service - We are more than a radio station. In focusing on local community, we put good will ahead of all else. We aim to support the people behind great philanthropies and organizations, and we believe in volunteering our time to help better our city.
Community - We are locally owned and operated in Colorado Springs. We see Pikes Peak from our office windows, and we believe in putting our energy and affection into our community and neighbors. We are focused on local listeners, businesses, nonprofits and schools.
Dave West is the owner and director of the station. He's worked in radio since he was 15 years old, and he spent 11 years mentoring Air Force Academy cadets and running the Academy's radio station. He is an avid mountain climber and hiker and loves spending time with his family. Dave is on air from 10A - 1P Mon- Fri.
Lorelei "Lo" Harris handles public relations and is on-air talent. Her background is in multimedia journalism and she is passionate about telling great human stories, just like traditional country music does. She's lived all over the world but calls Colorado her "chosen home", where the only thing missing is an ocean.
Johnny Joy spend your lunch-time with Johnny and the All Request Lunch Hour. To make your lunchtime request, call the studio line at 719-359-5409 or make a request via Facebook or from our Mountain Country APPS.
